On an Adventure...

On President's Day Grandma Ann called and told the kids she was taking them on an adventure. They were so excited and quickly got ready to go. When she got to our house they were so wired we almost considered giving them a nap before we left. First, she took us to the new $3.00 theater on 12th street and we saw Bolt. Camden thought the movie was so exciting that he fell asleep 10 minutes after it started. Madisen said she really loved it especially when "Bolt killed the bad guys, it was way cool!" Special coo dos go to Grandma for getting treats to enjoy during the movie also.
After the movie Grandma said there was more adventure and we went to Fat Cat's for a game of bowling. It was fun to teach the kids how to throw the ball down the lane. Both of them would watch as their ball moved slowly down the lane and then when they knocked over pins they would jump up and down from the lane to their chair. Camden really enjoyed watching for the ball to come out of the ball return and Madisen liked the cool air that was for drying your hands. We are so lucky to have such a fun grandma to take us on adventures!

A Balancing Act

Madisen has been practicing and practicing balancing on one foot. It was part of her preschool homework a few weeks ago and she really wants to master it. She is getting really good. Camden has also decided if Madisen can do it so can I. He however doesn't understand the concept and so as seen in the picture this is his version of balancing. It is so funny to see him with one foot bent in front and his arms flailing about across his chest. He of course he loves that we are laughing and does it more. We were waiting for a table to clear at AppleBee's on Friday the 13th and Madisen was showing Aunt Chris how well she could balance and then Camden started in Aunt Chris thought they were soooo funny and so did the hostess'.

What a mess..

On Friday I was rushing trying to get everything done before I left the house. I had gotten the kids ready and was finishing getting myself and my things together. I told Madisen that if she got her room clean before we left she would have earned enough pom poms in her jar to go to McDonald' s for lunch. She quickly went to work putting toys on the shelf and cleaning up. I was in the bathroom finishing up my makeup when she started screaming at Camden. When I went in her room he had been "helping" by pulling everything off the shelf that she had just put away. He was being a menace as usual and hindering the process so I stuck him in his room until we were ready to go. He protested and kicked his door and yelled for awhile and then I could hear him playing with his toys. A little after that it got really quite. I figured it was nap time and he often will pull his blanket out of his crib and fall asleep on the floor so I didn't think twice about the silence. About 20 minutes later we were ready to walk out the door so I went in to grab him and to my surprise he wasn't asleep "Lotion, mom" . He had gotten into his closet and found the Desitin. They say a picture is worth a thousand words so here it is and I will let it speak for itself. Does anyone now how to get Desitin out of clothes and the carpet??
"Belly, Mom, see"

What a handsome guy!

Madisen is such a great little model!

For Christmas this year Grandma Ream made church clothes for all the grandkids. Two Sundays ago was the first time the kids wore them to church and we got compliments left and right. Will and Brea's girls got the same dress pattern as Madisen only all of theirs are Maroon. Grandma said we got blue so Madisen and Camden's would match. I think they know they look good when mom insist on taking their picture before we leave the house. I would really like to get all the kids pictures taken in their clothes together for Grandma but with all our crazy schedules it is hard to find time.
