Chuck E Cheese

One of our new favorite places to spend time together is Chuck E Cheese. Madisen went in March with Grandma to attend Megan's birthday party and then this night we went to help celebrate Colten's first birthday. You can't go wrong with pizza all the drink you can drink, tokens, games, and tickets that equal prizes. Mom also loves that your kids are stamped with the same stamp as you so that you can let them run around free without worrying someone will take them. Even the adults had a good time.

Swimming in April

The first Tuesday in April we went to the Roy Aquatic Center with Sarah, Ethan, Ava, Kristyn, Trent and Colten and Kristyn's mother-in-law. I was pleasantly surprised at the facility. I hadn't really wanted to go but was glad, my friends are persistent, after we got there. Madisen took to the water like a fish. I am sure having a small pool size bathtub and a swimming pool just 5 minutes away has a lot to do with it, but the kid has no fear. I think she is definitely ready for swimming lessons this summer. Camden on the other hand took awhile to warm up but he really liked that he could touch the bottom and the slide. When we first got there it was "Mommy and Me" time and so the water that squirts from everywhere on the toy wasn't. He went down the slide at least 20 times but when the water turned on he wanted nothing to do with it.

Madisen wanted to go down the big slide but she just wasn't tall enough to go down alone. I took her and she had so much fun that we went again and again. After all the fun we took the kid to eat at McDonald's and they must have really played hard because all of them ate all their lunch before they went to play on the toys. We are so lucky to have such good friends to help us make memories.

So Much Easter Fun

We started our Easter fun on the 7th @ Barker Park in Pleasant View. Madisen's preschool did a great big egg hunt and picinic. The kids had a great time and it was a good "learning" experience for all the other hunts to come. On the way back to the car a seagull swooped down and took the corndog Camden was finishing right our of his hand. It scared him so badily I couldn't calm him for at least 15 minutes. I hope it won't create a phoebea. That is one brave bird!

Grandma Sharla invited all the grandkids to her house for an Easter party on Saturday the 11th at 10.00am. She had put together over a 100 plastic easter eggs filled with candy and prizes. The boys hide the eggs all over the yard some ovious and some not. She provied each child with a bucket and pail that also contained a book, pinwheel, crazy straw, and rice crispy bunny, each different and chosen with care for each person. Then she let them loose and the madness began.

After all the eggs were found, grandma had prepared the cutest picinic lunch complete with butterfly sandwhiches, a varity of fruit and chips.

Uncle Kevin is sooooo much fun!

The easter bunny came to our house on easter sunday this year. He brought the kids new church clothes, a game called Hullabaloo, and of course the cutest bunnies. I made the kids pose for a few shots to show off their new clothes.

Madisen is such a good little model!

By the tree in our front yard, you can't even tell by this picture that the cold wind was blowing her bare arms.

We went to Brigham City with Grandma Ann to go to sacrement meeting with Grandma Madsen. After church I couldn't resist going to the tabernacle for a photo op. It turned out to be a gorgeous day and the daffodils were to die for.

Camden was trying out his GQ poses.

A pre spring evening

We went to Ava's 1st birthday party and Sarah had made these cute goodie bags for the kids that said "Thanks for "poppin" in for Ava's !st birthday" it contained bubbles and three bubble blowing utensils. My kids were so excited to play with them so while dinner was cooking this evening we went out to blow the first bubbles of 2009! What a mess, good thing it is soap.

On a more serious note

Faces and such

We were bored one afternoon and started playing with the camera and this is what came from that ordeal.

On an Adventure...

On President's Day Grandma Ann called and told the kids she was taking them on an adventure. They were so excited and quickly got ready to go. When she got to our house they were so wired we almost considered giving them a nap before we left. First, she took us to the new $3.00 theater on 12th street and we saw Bolt. Camden thought the movie was so exciting that he fell asleep 10 minutes after it started. Madisen said she really loved it especially when "Bolt killed the bad guys, it was way cool!" Special coo dos go to Grandma for getting treats to enjoy during the movie also.
After the movie Grandma said there was more adventure and we went to Fat Cat's for a game of bowling. It was fun to teach the kids how to throw the ball down the lane. Both of them would watch as their ball moved slowly down the lane and then when they knocked over pins they would jump up and down from the lane to their chair. Camden really enjoyed watching for the ball to come out of the ball return and Madisen liked the cool air that was for drying your hands. We are so lucky to have such a fun grandma to take us on adventures!
